Alexander V. Kharuto- educational and scientific work


Born in Moscow, 1949. Graduated from Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics as radio engineer (1971), Ph. D. (Theory of Communications, 1989). The dissertation subject was computer simulation and analysis of communication quality in digital transmission channels.
Current position: Head of the Scientific Center of Information Technologies in Music, Moscow P.I.Tchaikovsky Conservatory; Assistant professor (2004), Director of Department of Information Technologies in Music (2010).

Area of interests: Informatics; informatics and social science; computer analysis methods in musicology; computer based research in culturology and sociology.
